The American rock band hails from Seattle, Washington. Aiden were formed in the year 2003 and is named after David Dorfman’s character Aiden in the 2002 flick, ‘The Ring’.
The current band members include vocalist and guitarist William Francis, bassist Nick Wiggins, drummer Keef West and guitarist Ian MacWilliams. The first full length album of Aiden was ‘Our Gang’s Dark Oath’ which was released in 2004 by the Dead Teenager Records. In 2005, the band was signed to Victory Records under which they released their second album named ‘Nightmare Anatomy’ on October 4 after which they gained worldwide recognition and made it to the US charts for the first time. Once Aiden released ‘Conviction’ in the year 2007 it generated a lot of attention which helped them to maintain a better position in US and UK charts.
The band earned ‘Kerrang! Award’ in 2006 for ‘Best International Newcomer’. Aiden also earned Metal Hammer Award 2006 for the same category and earned a nomination for Best Live Band in ‘Kerrang! Awards’ 2007.
