Maybe if Frank had been a skinny good-looking guy with golden hair; the world would view him differently; but as things stand Black and the Pixies will probably never receive the recognition they deserve. Without the Pixies there would pretty much be no alternative rock as we know it today. Nirvana wouldn't exist; and Radiohead would be just a bunch of middle-class kids from the Home Counties. They moved intelligent rock on from the groundwork already laid by Husker Du; and in Sufer Rosa changed the music mindset for a generation already disenfranchised with the Conservative greed of the 80's. Frank; we salute you.
