I first saw Cavalera live in March 1992 when I was one of the lucky few to get my mitts on a ticket to see Sepultura play the Amersham Arms in New Cross; South London. Up until that point I had not been a huge fan - in fact I even felt a bit guilty about keeping the ticket; but this was pre-eBay and ticket exchange sites; so I went…. A couple of hours later; it was safe to say I was a fan. The band's intensity was jaw-dropping enough; but the thing that will never leave me is the charisma of their dreadlocked and tattooed front man. Simply awesome.
