Heavily influenced by British Synthpop from the 1980s, La Roux burst onto the UK music scene in early 2009 with their second single ‘In For The Kill’. Their third single, ‘Bulletproof’ debuted at number one in the UK singles charts and the band had a successful 2009 touring and appeared at a number of music festivals.
