Misfits are an American rock band which was founded in the year 1977 in Lodi, New Jersey. The band was formed by singer/songwriter Glenn Danzig. The band is known for incorporating horror punk, hardcore punk, heavy metal and punk rock in their music along with using horror film themes and imagery. The band disbanded in the year 1983 which saw the members pursuing their own different careers. Danzig went on to form ‘Samhain’ and then later ‘Danzig’. The band formed a new version of Misfits in the year 1995 with members like bass guitarist and backing vocalist Jerry Only, guitarist Doyle, singer Michale Graves and drummer Dr. Chud. The newer version preferred heavy metal as their music genre and came up with ‘American Psycho’ in the year 1997 and then ‘Famous Monsters’ in 1999. The band then later dissolved in 2000. The band saw several changes in the line up once again after which various tours happened. However the current constant lineup of the band includes Only, Cadena and Eric Arce.
