The popular grindcore band hails from Birmingham, England and was formed in the year 1981. The current line up of the band does not retain any of the band’s original members yet vocalist Mark Greenway, bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris and drummer Danny Herrera have remained consistently with the band for most of the Napalm Death’s career. Napalm Death are renowned for incorporating various elements of hardcore punk and death metal into their grindcore genre and often use short songs, fast tempos, deep guttural vocals and sociopolitical lyrics. The world saw the release of their debut album ‘Scum’ in the year 1987 under Earache Records which became a huge hit in the metal industry. Their influential style continued and ever since the band’s formation, Napalm Death went on releasing around 14 studio albums which became commercially very successful. The band has been listed by Nielsen SoundScan as the seventh best-selling death metal band in US.
