The American rock band ‘Rage Against the Machine’ was formed in the year 1991. The band hails from Los Angeles, California. The line up of the band comprises of members vocalist Zack de la Rocha, bassist and backing vocalist Tim Commerford, drummer Brad Wilk and guitarist Tom Morello. The band’s music and lyrics often reflect cultural imperialism, government oppression and leftist rants against corporate America. To date, the band has sold over 16 million records worldwide. The band came up with their eponymous release in the year 1992 which became an instant hit and gained commercial success. The band came up with ‘Evil Empire’ in the year 1996. The band broke up in 2000 although reunited in 2007 for various live gigs and tours. Colin Devenish considered the band as one of the most influential and popular bands in the history of music during their initial active nine years. The band was also ranked #33 on VH1’s Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.
