They were able to establish themselves as one of Europe’s biggest metal acts between 1980 and 1987. The band also came to prominence in other countries like Japan and USA with their unique metal music. Their single ‘Motorcycle Man’ became a huge hit when it was released and stayed for more than 5 months on the music charts of Japan. There were many singles of the band which reached the Top 20 singles chart. Saxon is also famous for touring excessively. The band has sold over 13 million albums worldwide so far. Their latest studio album titled ‘Call to Arms’ was released in 2011.
